HAIR!

I have been blessed with very thick, very long hair. But what's better than genetics? Hair stylists! On a daily basis my hair does not look like the photos below! I can easily spend 2 hours in the hair chair. Most stylists use large barrel curling irons on small sections, pin, set, spray then brush out. My hair ends up looks super smooth and shiny because of the heat.

I unfortunately do not have the patience, or the muscle to devote to 2 hours of hair styling.

My routine is awfully simple. I wash my hair 2/3 times a week. I (almost) always wash it the day before I'm working (clients would rather you have clean hair. surprise!). I use quite a bit of whatever shampoo is around and what I feel like is half a bottle of the nearest conditioner. I try to brush it through in the shower.

Bumble and Bumble Super Rich is my favorite, but awfully expensive considering the rate and which I go through conditioner;

I also try to use a leave in like Infusium 23 right after my shower;

I wear my hair wet in a bun to bed and voila! I'll wake up with damp hair because I have so much of it. I don't use heat on my hair when I'm not working. I always shower before bed simply because my hair takes so long to dry.

Tadaaaah.

do you take any vitamins? or eat certain nutritious food that helps your hair also? I've been suffering from hair loss and it is devastating.

love your hair!

i used to have thick hair exactly like yours, but unfortunately i have a habbit of backcombing and using too many heated appliances - so not so thick and glossy any more!

What a great post! I love your hair..I'm trying to grow mine (need to use less heat!) how long did it take to grow your hair to the length it is now, or has it always been long?

thank you for the post!!
i hope this doesn't come across intrusive, but i was wondering, as a model - do you work out to keep your petite figure, or are you just naturally like that? in the sense, you eat everything you want?
you're very lovely x

My family is very petite. I like to eat well because its better for me. I'm not excessively obsessed with food, calories, etc. I eat what I want within reason. I'm a huge carb/bread junkie. I don't really like sweets or chocolate. I think a lot of empty calories are beverages. I drink diet coke, water and coffee. I rarely drink alcohol and I have to be in a weird mood to drink juice. haha

i used to be a kerastase fanatic, but my law student salary doesnt quite allow for it anymore. I use DAVINES LOVE, and its awesome. Its like 20 bucks for the shampoo and 20 for conditioner. I havent used infusium in forever! my mom is such a fan of all of their hair care products.

Oh I know it! I always have to condition my ends, and leave it on for a few minutes. The glossiest and best at getting out my knots? Surprisingly, Garnier Fructis.

My hair is super thick so I pile it on.. ;)

My hair has an awful texture to it now from dying it so much. I think I'm going to give that Infusium leave in a try. Does it really work well? Your hair is so beautiful!
