Ibiza baby!

haha. you cant tell im in ibiza. I could be in a park in the middle of Utah for all you know.

Im back. Im tired. I got a weeee bit of color. I had a great time. Cant wait to develop pictures.

Unfortunately on the flight back to London while watch Annie Hall for the 1st time EVER, the smallest bit of watervodka I was mixing with emergen-cbloody mary mix spilt on my computer due to the tiniest plane bump and some integral keys on my computer are now useless (the return keys, arrows, my shift key is stuck so everything was coming out in caps making me look really angry.) So I bough a new tiny keyboard at the mac store, that is all british and I keep pressing the wrong flipping buttons.

*rolllllll eyesssssssss.

I SAW MY SISTER'S PICTURE IN THE UNDERGROUND FOR UNIQLO TODAY. I was so proud I almost started crying.

He was on holiday/vacation for 3 WEEKS. I can't even have a weekend off without some sort of 'i-have-nothing-to-do' anxiety attack. I only had 1 appointment today, I should have spent the day in the park....

Modelinia!

http://www.modelinia.com/articles/secret-address-taylor-warrens-lower-east-side/5081

Growing up near Albany in upstate New York, Taylor remembers visiting New York City and never venturing south of Houston Street. Then, as a fledgling model, she moved to Manhattan and discovered that starting off in the industry can mean more grit than glitz. With “something like $150 a week to live on,” says Taylor, she moved to the Lower East Side, but was pleased to discover that the neighborhood was jam-packed with quirky mom-and-pop shops, hip hole-in-the-wall eateries, and plenty of cheap surprises around every corner. “It’s a very special part of the city,” says Taylor. “The Hispanic culture is alive and it’s staying as true as it can to its roots.” Beyond the shops and restaurants listed below, Taylor says that the LES is all about finding entertainment in the sorts of places you won’t see in glossy magazines. “There’s this couple that makes snow cones and sells them on the street in the summertime, a great little Chinese place that sells 99-cent buns, a dollar store on Clinton Street I’m obsessed with, and don’t get me started on the 24-hour McDonald’s on Delancey Street. It’s still just a really cute area that’s got a lot of character.”

EAT:
Sugar Sweet Sunshine
This kitschy bakery has a cult following, and Taylor is a major fan. “All I can talk about is food,” she jokes. “That’s really all I do. This is by far the best cupcake place in the city, and the cupcakes are like $1.50. I get the Sexy Red Velvet, which has white frosting. I think they have a great sense of humor in there, too.”

Schiller’s Liquor Bar
By night, Schiller’s is packed with scenesters sipping cocktails, but by day it’s a serious spot for hearty plates of bacon and eggs. Says Taylor, “I could eat breakfast all day; it’s my favorite meal.” She also loves staking out a table and flipping through all the free magazines. “I kind of love doing the New York magazine crossword there, which is free entertainment.”

Tiny’s Giant Sandwich Shop
In between shoots and castings, Taylor became a huge fan of the over-stuffed tuna sandwiches at the ironically named Tiny’s. “I can’t really tell you where to get good sushi and salad in New York, I’m all about the carbs.” But don’t hate her for her speedy metabolism. “I kind of hate it when people say they were born really thin, but I’m very lucky as far as what I can eat…so far.”

SHOP:
Narnia

At this tiny vintage treasure trove, Taylor scopes out great accessories like belts and bags. “It’s really well-edited, so it’s not the kind of place where you have to dig around for hours to find something you love.” It may be a bit of a splurge, but Taylor likes to view her purchases there as investments. “The owners have a really good eye and it’s timeless stuff.”

Honey in the Rough
This sliver of a boutique, which shares the same building as Narnia, sells looks from designers like Thread Social and Anna Sui. “Every time I go in there, I seem to find a funny little dress I just have to have.”

REST:
Hotel on Rivington
For out-of-towners looking to get a taste of Taylor’s LES, this swank hotel may be out of the young model’s budget, but it’s ideally located. “I think like anyone living in New York,” says Taylor. “You rarely leave a five-block radius. But there’s so much to discover just by walking down the side streets, I tell people to spend a day exploring, watching the kids play at the Rivington Street playground.”

CULTURE FIX:
Pianos

You’re not likely to find Taylor hitting up trendy clubs, though she does occasionally head to this low-key music venue to see her boyfriend’s band play. “I used to go to the MisShapes parties on Saturday nights and it was affected and awful, but it was still fun. But going out in New York is just too cool for me right now. I’m not that cool. Anything with a door policy gives me anxiety. I’d rather stay home.”

TAKE HOME:
Economy Candy Corporation

When she’s looking for novelty gifts for friends, this store, packed with hard-to-find candies, is the go-to place. “It’s like a time machine in there!” Regular buys? “I love popcorn-flavored Jelly Bellys, I can’t help myself. And I like weird stuff like Big League gum, which looks like chewing tabacco, because it’s just so wrong.” But she warns: “Do not go in there on the weekends. The line wraps itself around the store twice, it’s just so packed.”

Good Golden Friday.

I spent 4 hours and 90pounds in a salon getting a trim, color and super indulgent hair conditioning treatment. So silly, my hair always ends up looking the same, a slightly better/shinier version of itself. NATURALLY by the time I was finished it started to rain. NATURALLY, I didn't have an umbrella. I got one for 5pounds and spent the rest of the day having it automatically expand and punch me in the chest while I was trying to keep it compacted.

I was also inspired to buy a trench coat, found the perfect one at TopShop only to have it cost 125pounds so I was like UH NO. TopShop is losing its luster, thankfully. Its an overpriced albeit better version of Forever 21. While walking into Zara 3 lovely girls stopped me, asked if I was indeed Taylor Warren and wanted to take a picture. I was gobsmacked and completely flattered. I'm now wishing I would have played tag along with them instead of going to Mcdonalds. haha

I have no idea what I'm going to do for the next 3 days, its a holiday weekend and I dont have anything to do until Tuesday. I plan on sleeping, a lot. Pictures coming eventualllllly.

Oh London! HI CHARLOTTE I LOVE YOU.

All those little hipster f'ers make London look like so much fun (I'm talking to you Peaches, Pears, Plums, Pixies, Daisies, Lily's, etc). I think its kind of odd! Its so big and takes forever to get around when I have castings. I really miss NYC because its getting warm and Spring/Summer in NY is my favorite.

I've been really busy with appointments and whatnot. I went to Brighton for a shoot on Thursday for Glamour. It was so beautiful there! I had never seen such a rocky beach. The scene there was rather young and looked like more fun than London. =p

Today being my first day off I went walking around East London (Where I'm living...) and EVERY SINGLE VINTAGE SHOP I WENT INTO WAS PLAYING MORRISSEY. I probably spelled that wrong, but I can't say that I mind. Morrissey makes me want to punch myself in the face. Ughr.

Then like a doofus I went to Oxford circus because I ripped a hole in my only pair of black tights I brougt with me, and I can't even begin to try to describe the amount of people that were there. Never again on a Saturday, never again.

I'm leaving for Sweden tomorrow for a job, be back Tuesday! British TV is fun, though. Yay for speaking the language!

Its always difficult the first few days that I travel to a new City, I know I'll learn to like it here once I know it better. But right now, I'm just overwhelmed by loneliness and not knowing anything about this city. I try to remind myself that I am here to work, not to socialize and get shitfaced and party and have a great smashing time. As long as I'm busy I'll be happy.

I need to get photos developed.
